Iran's OIC envoy: unified standards, smart oversight key to halal industry growth in Islamic states

[IRNA] Iran's ambassador and representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami, pointed to the economic and technological potential of the halal industry in global markets, saying that unifying standards, reducing disparities in their application, developing laboratory infrastructure and strengthening smart oversight of the supply chain are basic requirements for boosting the standing of halal products in markets, according to IRNA.
