Qatar's share of US LNG market nears 20 million tonnes per year

[Attaqa] Qatar's share of the US LNG market has approached 20 million tonnes per year, driven by expanding investments and long-term agreements in the United States that combine purchases of gas cargoes with production stakes in US export projects, according to Attaqa. QatarEnergy strengthened its presence in the US gas market by signing new purchase agreements in October 2026, part of its efforts to diversify supply sources.
