Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles in the early hours of Monday morning, killing a 21-year-old woman and injuring 8 people. The surface section of the Chernihivska metro station was damaged, and some stations on the red line were temporarily closed. Emergency services also recorded damage to residential buildings, medical facilities and non-residential buildings.
According to Radio Free Europe reporter Alex Raufoglu, citing sources, Kyiv again did not receive advance warning of the incoming ballistic missiles this time. No warning was received either when Kyiv was attacked on October 12 and 13. US Secretary of State Rubio responded that he did not know the reason for this occasion, and acknowledged that the warning system had experienced a software malfunction a few days earlier. Zelensky said on NBC on the 18th that the US side had suspended intelligence sharing with Ukraine for 3 days and that it had now been restored, but that restrictions on military-related Starlink services had not yet been fully lifted.
