Russian forces carried out a night air strike on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, killing one woman and injuring three people. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram the same day that the attack hit a metro station on the left bank, damaged a 25-storey residential building, and also damaged several non-residential buildings and a medical facility. Reuters reporters heard explosions in Kyiv.
Zelensky said the same day that the United States, after a brief pause, had resumed sharing with Ukraine key intelligence used to defend against Russian missile attacks, calling it crucial for early warning of Russian high-speed missiles fired in waves. He also said he had recently spoken by phone with U.S. peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The two visited Kyiv earlier this month, as the United States is mediating to end the war that began with Russia's invasion in 2022.
