AI model routing company TrustedRouter has closed a $6 million seed round led by Sierra Ventures, according to Semafor. The company publicly launched about six weeks ago; its service allows developers and enterprises to switch between different AI models based on factors such as cost and privacy; for some open-weight models it provides end-to-end encryption and verifiable confidential computing, and is designed so that even the company itself and the data centers cannot read users' prompts and outputs. The company also plans to launch a marketplace called the "New York Token Exchange" that lets model providers and hosting providers bid to handle requests, pricing AI inference tokens as a commodity.
